Perimeter protection system associated with fences need a structure on which they are mounted and they detect disturbances in the structure caused by attempted intrusions.

There are two types of fence mounted detections system, those with microphonic cable and those with fibre optic.

Microphonic Cable System

CPS Plus (Cable Perimeter System) is a microphonic cable system which uses a co-axial cable that generates an audio frequency electric signal following a mechanical disturbance caused by an intrusion attempt.

The signals are then processed to verify an alarm condition.

Optophonic Cable System

SNAKE is a fiber optic system that generates an alarm signal when attempting to climb over it produces a strain on the fiber through a variation of light intensity received turns in alarm.
