UNIVERSAL PERIMETER PROTECTION
FIPRO
system
FIPRO™ uses a fibre optic cable as a distributed sensor along perimeters, conduits, or critical infrastructures (pipelines, cable ducts, ports, airports, borders, power plants, etc.).
The DAS/COTDR technology combined with artificial intelligence and deep-learning algorithms allows monitoring of distances up to 100 km, detecting vibrations and acoustic disturbances and identifying intrusions or sabotage attempts with a precision of about 10 meters.
The system effectively discriminates false alarms caused by environmental noise or weather conditions and can be installed on fences, underground, or alongside pipelines, offering high flexibility and coverage across large areas.

FIPRO™ is an advanced protection system combining fiber optics and Artificial Intelligence for the surveillance of large infrastructures such as pipelines, cable ducts, borders, or airports.
The system uses fiber optics as a distributed sensor along distances of up to 100 km and beyond, with the possibility of integrating existing optical fibers used for data transmission.
The fiber detects acoustic disturbances and vibrations along its entire length, transforming physical events into electrical signals that are processed by the Artificial Intelligence module.
The AI, installed on a local server, analyzes the data by comparing them with a database of over 130,000 events, accurately distinguishing intrusion attempts from environmental interference. This approach allows FIPRO™ to continuously and accurately monitor critical infrastructures over long distances, providing reliable and timely alarms.
The system uses a 9/125 single-mode fiber optic cable, which, when subjected to mechanical stress, pressure, vibrations, or movement, alters its light transmission characteristics. These variations are immediately interpreted as potential threats, triggering a fast and highly reliable alarm.

Protection of large perimeters such as ports, airports, power plants, and long-distance infrastructures such as cable ducts, oil pipelines, gas pipelines, and borders.
Up to 100 km in the FIP-50D version.
FIPRO™ has an accuracy of approximately 10 meters and allows the creation of virtual zones with a minimum length of 10 meters.
Each zone can have its own sensitivity settings and time schedules.

FIPRO™ can be installed both on fences and underground, providing complete protection of perimeters and linear infrastructures such as pipelines.
The integration of Artificial Intelligence allows the analysis and classification of multiple simultaneous events along the entire fiber, accurately distinguishing real intrusion attempts from false alarms or background noise such as adverse weather.
This approach ensures continuous, reliable, and highly scalable surveillance over long distances.

FIPRO™ is a fiber optic perimeter protection system that uses DAS (Distributed Acoustic Sensing) technology combined with Artificial Intelligence, enabling flexible and reliable protection of long distances and large-scale perimeters.
The laser sends pulses through the fiber optic cable, and by exploiting naturally occurring impurities in the fiber itself, the system analyzes and monitors the area in real time.
The FIPRO™ firmware is based on deep-learning algorithms that filter and classify events and can even predict the ambient acoustic scene, thereby eliminating background noise.
Our DL model was trained using more than 130,000 field-collected, manually labelled data samples, representing a major investment in man-hours.
The dual-channel versions also offer redundancy functionality, allowing the system to continue operating even if the fiber is cut.

FIPRO™ is available in four versions:
10km single line
50km single line
30km double line

The operation of the FIPRO™ system is based on the analyzer’s ability to detect differences between the signal sent by the laser and the backscattered signals generated by naturally occurring impurities along the fiber cable.
These reflected laser pulses are measured by the FIPRO™ analyzer using COTDR technology.
During normal operation, the wavelength of the reflection remains identical to the original pulses, and changes only when an external disturbance occurs—such as an intrusion, crossing, or sabotage attempt.
The system can be connected to any alarm control panel, and during installation, operating parameters can be configured using a PC, tablet, or smartphone.
The fiber optic cable is the sensitive element of the FIPRO™ system and acts as a distributed acoustic sensor (DAS) because it is highly responsive to the acoustic stimuli produced during intrusion and sabotage attempts.
These acoustic effects alter the diffusion of light waves along the fiber optic cable.
The technology sends thousands of pulses per second, and variations (acoustic or vibrational) are measured instantly by the FIPRO™ analyzer thanks to the integrated Artificial Intelligence module.
FIPRO™ can also use existing fiber optic cables, such as communication fibers, FO cables, Ethernet networks, etc.
