Furthermore, automatic gain control and temperature regulation optimize system performance, even in low-visibility conditions, thanks to the ability to manage up to four amplification signals. IPS™ is an infrared perimeter protection system suitable for indoor and outdoor use. Using micrometric orientation mechanics, the system ensures maximum beam alignment precision.
Thanks to microprocessor-based technology and intelligent signal analysis from the receivers, IPS™ eliminates false alarms caused by interference and detects attempts to blind the sensors. The system is immune to weather conditions such as fog, snow, and rain.

When visibility between transmitters and receivers is reduced (e.g., fog, heavy rain, snow), an automatic gain control circuit attempts to restore optimal infrared light reception. If restoration is impossible, the concentrator deactivates the affected beam and signals a temporary disqualification. Normal operation resumes automatically once visibility conditions return. Models are available with single-beam or dual-beam transmitters and receivers.

The concentrator can connect up to 8 dual-beam receivers, sending commands via synchronization cables to activate the connected transmitters. The corresponding receiver is enabled simultaneously. The concentrator processes the light pulses received from all connected units. If the beam between TX and RX is interrupted for the programmed crossing time, an alarm is triggered.
